Trip to the Reservoir

A storm system went through the area a couple weeks ago, a perfect opportunity to take some amazing HDR pictures. I headed down to Beaverdam Reservoir south of Leesburg, setup the tripod, and started snappin.

New Arms

I had the day off so I went down to Purcellville and hung out with Evan and the crew at M&D Automotive today as they installed a Full Traction 3″ Long Arm lift kit on a customer’s Rubicon JKU. The kit is really beefy and great quality. The kit combined with the Bilstein shocks, provided by the customer, should result in a really comfortable ride rivaling the stock suspension.

The installation should be completed tomorrow, and since it’s another day off, I’ll head down there to check out the completed setup.

Froging

I watched a couple of Photoshop tutorials last night and had the itch to practice. Hope you like it!

Sycolin Creek Flooding

I was driving around this morning after a couple of big storms went through and came across Gant Lane flooded out where it crosses over Sycolin Creek. Pretty impressive.

85 & Sunny

Ran a bunch of errands today. Did a Spring season tune up, with the correct spark plugs! I was in the middle of swapping in a new power steering reservoir when I broke it. Cheap plastic. I noticed the other day that my rear driver-side wheel had brake fluid all over it, dead wheel cylinder? Well pulled the tire today and all the internals of the rear drum are shredded. The second pic shows exactly how everything fell out once I removed the brake drum. By the time I made it back to Advance Auto the sun was setting and I ran out of daylight. Guess I’ll have to get up early tomorrow :(

A Rebuilt Heart

I went by M&D Automotive today, on my day off, just in time to see Evan dropping in a rebuilt 258 with a hot cam. Some day I’ll have them rebuild the 232 in the ’93.
